Notes2: For those who may not have read the manga or seen the series, I’d better make a quick note about the relationships in Card Captor Sakura. Sakura is the Card Captor, the one chosen to guard and wield the Clow Cards, powerful magic cards created by the magician Clow Read. Clow Read created two creatures to act as guardians of the cards, and as judges of the new master or mistress of the cards: Cerberus (pronounced by the Japanese as ‘Keroberos’) and Yue. Each of the guardian beasts took a ‘false form’ for the duration, until the new mistress was ready to take over command of the Clow Cards. Yue’s ‘false form’ is Tsukishiro Yukito, who just happens to be Sakura’s brother, Touya’s, boyfriend. Yue and Yukito exist in the same body, and are technically the same person, but Yukito’s personality developed so differently from Yue’s that they have become two separate individuals. For most of his life, Yukito was unaware of Yue, but after a certain point, he became aware of Yue’s existence and, at least according to the clues given in the anime---particularly the second movie---Yue and Yukito were, from that point onward, in constant mental contact with one another.
Note on Spelling/Romanization: All names will be spelled as they were romanized in the original Japanese version of the Card Captor Sakura manga (in the character information sections). In other words, ‘Clow Read’ rather than ‘Clow Reed’, ‘Li Syaoran’ rather than ‘Li Shaoran’ or any other spelling of his name you may have seen, etc. If you don’t like the way I (and CLAMP) spell the names, you’re free to stop reading at this point.

Notes: This is a rewrite of a fic once entitled Return To Me, which I now loathe. Yay. /'s usually mark thoughts or random bouts of insanity. Go me.
Summary: A year post-game, Cloud must deal with the emotional issues he did not conquer in that crater with Sephiroth. Just as he finds a weak balance, a new weight is thrown into the scale and he must start over again. On top of this, someone seems to be bent on finishing what Sephiroth started, but whether or not they realize this is the question...

Kuja/Zidane Disclaimer: In case you look at the pairing and wonder why I don’t have an incest warning… It seems obvious to me that Kuja and Zidane are only ‘brothers’ in symbolic terms. My reasoning? Take a deep breath… Garland created the Genomes to be able to carry on an entire race. Therefore, the Genomes must be able to reproduce. Therefore, the Genomes must not be identical in genetic structure, because the offspring, within only a few generations, would be royally screwed up. THEREFORE, if it's logical and perfectly moral for male and female Genomes to get it on with one another, what's the problem with Zidane and Kuja? They are *brothers*---as all Genomes are *siblings*---in the sense that they were both created---created, not born---by the same man, the same 'father'. In other words, in all the ways that count, Zidane and Kuja are no more related than are Cloud and Sephiroth.
Spoilers: If you haven’t played FF9, you might not get it. ;) Come to think of it, even if you have, you might not get it…
